When you register, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). As you use the app, we store the words you save, your quiz results, and — if you join a study group — your group membership and online status.
To provide translations, pronunciation, example sentences, and images, the words you look up are sent to the following third-party services:
These services only receive the word or photo you look up — not your name, email, or account details. Camera photos are processed to identify objects and are not stored by this app.
Your saved words and quiz results are used only to power the features you use directly: your personal dictionary, quizzes, and — if you're a Premium member — sharing lessons with study group members you've approved.
You can download a copy of your data at any time from Account Settings → Export My Data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Account Settings → Delete My Account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
